Hey everyone! Speak is a great book. I read it last summer, and I'm happy to be reading it again. Speak is a sad but hilarious book. I'm really happy about the group I'm with and....yeah! Just I think that this book would be suitable for any reader, i reccomend it!

Why do you think that Heather wants to be accepted by "The Marthas" so badly?

I think Melinda will get most of her old friends back by the end they the book, but i was wondering if Rachel could some how be Melinda's best friend again by the end of the book.

The book Speak deals with issues many are able to relate to. We can see how being an outcast and diffrent can change your perspective.

I finished Speak, and it's great. My question is what do you think is the theme? I think it is that life isn't fair.

I think Heather is the type of person who has to be in a group. I think she knows that The Marthas have a good reputation, and she wants that to.

Melinda is an outcast because she called the police at a party, but no one knows the true reason why she did call the police. Find out the true reason why she called in Speak.

Speak is about a high school out cast named Melinda. At a party she calls the police and now everyone hates her, even her friends.

I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading realistic fiction books and books about what happens in the life of an outcast.

In the breathtakingly good novel Speak we follow our heroine , Melinda, as she learns that in high school sometimes being on the outside looking in is not always the best way to go on. She also learns that sometimes you have to speak up to be heard.

All anybody knows is that she busted the party by calling the cops. What they don't know is why. Nobody bothers to find out though, and Melinda has to come into high school as a social outcast. With a lack of communication within her family, a forever changing school team name, and a disturbingly perky "best friend", only one thing can stay on her mind- the number of days until graduation.

I dont think Rachel will listen to Melinda if she tells her because everyone is turned against Melinda, and I think that Rachel would also follow because she doesnt want to be an outcast.

Speak's theme , in my opinion is that you have to speak up to be herd.

I think Heather wants to be accepted by the Martha's because she needs to be in a group and feel accepted, and i guess she likes being cleanly and perky.

Answering on of the questions, I think Melinda's best friend didn't trust her and got mad at her for breaking up the party because the party was one of her chances of becoming popular and it was ruined by Melinda.

i think Heather wants to be part of the Marathas because she wants to be part of a clique, and it was predictable that she wouldnt stay friends with Melinda because she is consider weird and everyone talks about her, and if you hang out with her then you're weird.
speak person. :)
